DEX:- DNV:BillOfMaterial DEX - Scope

The following are within the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• Information that identifies the End Item, Breakdowns, BreakdownElements and Parts either by the original manufacturers identifier, or by an alias identifier that is defined by another organization, such as the owning, operating or maintenance organization of the asset.
• Information that relates the part to the breakdown element that specifices the part.
• Information that relates the part to its NATO stock number, if that part is codified.
• Information that relates the part to the end item.
• The physical properties of the part, including shelf life, Production Lead Time, Maintenance Replacement Rate.

The following are outside the scope of this Data Exchange Specification (DEX):

• Information that identifies physical Items are not part of this BOM DEX.
